Week 18-19: Mark It Zero vs. Da Bulls & Lebowski
After work kept me late and the subsequent white-knuckle thrill ride that ensued to get to the game on time, I was overenergized for this game. The playoff scenario has worked itself out so that out of our remaining opponents, Da Bulls, The Green Hornets, Da Bulls, and Lebowski (how’d this happen?). We only have to beat Da Bulls once out of the two remaining times we face them, assuming we win against the Hornets & Lebowski.

This was a big matchup. A battle for first place. Nice Marmot has lost twice and we have only lost once (to Nice Marmot), but they have a game on us, so it all equals out eventually. I had mixed feelings about this game because I had rolled my ankle in the previous Paradigm softball game and hadn’t felt the same all week. Alright so maybe these aren’t “from scratch” cause the word “masa” wasn’t uttered, among other ingredients such as creating the masa itself.
Still - these things were bomb, required minimal effort, were much cheaper, were less salty than the store brands, came whole and not crushed, and were more durable when dipping and dunking. Too much upside to ignore.
